2. I chalk it up to, its the internet. Go to ANY actor's Internent Movie Database messageboard, and there is going to be a handful of posts that is filled with mean-sprited comments made about them. Even the most mainstream actors will get them. There's always a few people who have to say something to piss off others.

3. I don't hate the pair, but I have been taking a strng dislike to Amy over the years.

I loved her on the UCB. And I was excited to see her get more visibility.

But lately I've really been seeing her do more of the "Hey Hey! Look at me, I'm doing something wacky" kinda of comedy on SNL and in the movies. Which I don't think is funny, and really kills all the humor around it.

When she's famous and getting all the kudos and not being funny. Up and coming comedians are going to copy her only cause shes popular and bring down the comedy in general. She's not going to indeterminately kill comedy. Just gonna kick in the nuts a bit. But that's one theory.

Theory two behind the hate is basically watching your favorite indy band sell out.

4. I've always liked Amy on SNL, but I must admit I don't care for her doing Weekend Update. She laughs too much at her own jokes (a la Jimmy Fallon and Jon Stewart).

Tina is just brilliant. Period. From SNL to Mean Girls to 30 Rock.

5. I'm not fond of either one. Tina seems to be going through the 'diva' stage, and Amy? Nothing exciting or funny. There have been a lot of really talented, funny, and enjoyable women on SNL. These aren't two of them.

6. I like both. I think 30 Rock is easily the funniest thing on TV. I'm sure I'll rent the movie. Tina Fey is very smart and funny. Amy Poehler is funny and less cerebral. They make a pretty good team.

Hating women has been a long standing tradition in the comedy world. I'm guessing that smart and independent women make some people mad. People who like their comedy straight up. Those people can watch "Ouch my balls" or go see Kid Rock at the state fair.

That said, SNL was/is pretty dismal as of late but Tina Fey was the ONLY reason to watch the show for a few years. The sketch comedy show, in the SNL form, is pretty tired and boring at this point anyway. The show has never been consistently hilarious.

People love to hate! It's in our nature to destroy. Especially on teh interweb.

7. I don't hate them, but I don't like them. I think it really stems from the fact that they just aren't that funny, yet all of the magazines give them nothing but kudos and say how funny they are. I think the resentment comes from the fact that it seems that they are being shoved down our throats rather than getting their star status based purely on their comedic merits.

And honestly, Tina Fey just seems so... corporate. Its like "Oooh, I can be such a bad girl and make fun of NBC because its the network my show is on!!!" Yea, thats some real "LOL"'s right there.

8. I like Tina Fey although when she did W.U. she was a little preachy. 30 Rock is what really made me love her, she is awesome on 30 Rock and I dont mind Tina Fey, I dont think it was her fault they had bad actors over the last ten years on SNL, the fact that 30 Rock is so good proves she is a good writer.

As for Amy Pheoler. I completely agree with those reviewers, she is awful. I H-A-T-E her on Weekend Update and I hate almost all her SNL characters. She is loud and annoying and NOT FUNNY. I think everything to do with her in that movie looks bad and all Tinas scenes look good. I wish Tina would do something else ala Mean Girls.

Amy is just an awful low brow screecher type comic. Uch.

9. 30 rock is currently the funniest show on tv, and tina fey is great in it. before 30 rock, i wouldn't say i particularly disliked tina fey, but i didn't find her very funny.

amy poehler is just annoying. she tries too hard, and every time she opens her mouth i want to mute the tv.

10. Wow, not everyone likes the same thing? What an astute observation! As someone else already said, it's the internet, and there will always be haters. Second, don't make it a male/female thing. Plenty of folks hate Dane Cook and the fat cable guy too. Those haters just have better things to do than post on some "blue collar comedy forum," while the cable guy/Dane Cook fans are losers who dump on everything that isn't redneck and patriotic.

See what I did there?

Oh, and Amy's husband Will is funny on shows, but is completely unfunny on the red carpet and in unscripted areas. He really comes across as that guy who tells a joke and after no one laughs, he tells it again. Ick.

11. Of course it's because they're women. The entertainment world in general isn't good with women who are independant, funny, and strong. Women in entertainment are usually rewarded for being vapid, victims, doormats, or overly sexualizing themselves. Now there are two women who are being rewarded by buzz, attention, and big bucks but are doing none of those things. It's different and bound to make people uncomfortable. Sadly.

12. I am a big fan of both, from SNL to...just about everything they've done. It took me a long time to warm to Poehler on WU, but I like her now. If Fey and Rudolph were still there, I'd say that along with Kristin Wiig and Maya Rudolph SNL has had just about the best cast of women they've had in a LOOOOOONG time.

14. I've never been a big fan of Amy Poehler, but Tina Fey is the best (in my opinion). She's witty, funny, and very attractive, and helms one of the funniest shows on TV in years.

I think any "hate" on the internet for either of them can just be chalked up to the fact that it's the internet.

15. Amy is one of the funnies regular cast members on SNL, nowadays. That's not saying much, but it's the truth. 30 Rock is hilarious, but I liked Tina when she was on SNL regularly too. The movie looks incredibly bad, but I might rent it just to show my support for Tina.

I think both of them are funny, especially when they are together.

Whoever said that SNL blows currently, is correct however.

Also, who cares if you think Amy is attractive or not? That's not the question--her ability to be funny has nothing to do with good looks.

19. I personally like both of them. They appeal to both my need of smart, intellectual comedy the the part of me that likes people peeing in sinks. They make a great comedy team, and I think all the hate is just because they're women.
